Michigan continued to stockpile basketball talent, adding the second 2013 recruit in as many days.

Point guard Derrick Walton of Harper Woods Chandler Park Academy made a verbal commitment Monday to the Wolverines.

Walton posted, "MICHIGAN BOUND!!!!!!!!!" from his Twitter account Monday night, presumably becoming the fourth in U-M coach John Beilein's class of rising high school juniors.

Zak Irvin, a 6-foot-6 wing from Indiana, announced his commitment to U-M on Sunday, joining Mark Donnal and Austin Hatch in the 2013 class.

Walton, a 6-foot, 165-pound point guard, also considered Michigan State, Connecticut, Notre Dame and Purdue. He averaged 20 points, eight assists and three steals as a freshman and is rated as one of the top point guards in the area.
